Dr. Stephani Rose, Audiologist Lic. #2908, is an audiologist who provides care from our Carlsbad, California hearing center. She has been with HearingLife since 2020. She earned her Doctor of Audiology degree at the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Rose chose a career in audiology after her sister had a sudden hearing loss and a Ménière’s disease diagnosis sparked her interest in hearing. And her passion for taking care of others and educating them on hearing health took it from there!
During her schooling, Dr. Rose experienced her own hearing loss caused by an autoimmune condition, and she has been able to help care for her parents’ hearing health as well. But her most exciting experience as an audiologist has been meeting William Shatner!
“It was so weird hearing his voice not coming out of a TV!” she exclaimed. Dr. Rose showed Mr. Shatner what the HearingLife experience was like for patients when he became a spokesperson for the company.
“He really appreciated all the science behind what we do,” Dr. Rose explained. “I showed him all the tests we do – the speech in noise, ear anatomy and the technology in hearing aids, which he thought was very cool.”
Dr. Rose echoed the feelings of the entire HearingLife team when she said, “He’s had a long, full life and how wonderful that he’s willing to be our ambassador for hearing care!”
Dr. Rose also took part in a satellite media tour with Mr. Shatner to talk about Better Hearing and Speech Month.
