HearingLife’s People Who Care series is meant to introduce you to just a few of our many Team Members who serve you with professional, personalized care at our nationwide locations. Today’s feature is about one of our Patient Care Coordinators, who are the friendly faces that greet you when you visit our offices!
Lois Balogh is a Patient Care Coordinator at the Sea Girt, New Jersey office. She has worked at HearingLife for 7 years and says she loves seeing customers leave the office with a smile on their face.
“They realize all the things they have been missing,” says Lois. “And then they leave with a smile because they bought hearing aids – it makes me love what I do.”
Lois says that before working in hearing care, she never realized what a big impact hearing loss has on people, nor did she realize how many people struggle with their hearing.
“I have learned so much,” says Lois. “Now I teach people the importance of a hearing test!”
But her favorite part of her job is just talking with people – some of the customers in Sea Girt stop by just to say hello.
“We have one 91-year-old who comes every other week to get her hearing aids cleaned,” says Lois. “I think she just comes for the company.”
When she’s not at work, Lois loves family get-togethers with her family and her 2 children.
