    Jeff Hartney is a Hearing Instrument Specialist that serves the Whiteville and Shallotte, NC offices. Born and raised in Swansboro, Jeff earned his degree from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is a Board Certified Hearing Instrument Dispenser in North Carolina and has successfully completed advanced training course at the National Training Center in Somerset, NJ.

    He is committed to help those with speech understanding problems lead a fuller life. By combining integrity and compassion, he has a unique ability to explain the strategies of treating hearing loss. He understands the importance of taking the time to really listen to his patients. Jeff creates an environment where open and honest communication can take place and his patients can make decisions about their speech understanding needs without feeling rushed or pressured.

    Winner of numerous statewide prestigious Avada Pacesetter awards and several national Commitments to Service Awards, Jeff’s dedication to excellent patient care is evident with each and every patient. He truly believes, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”.

    Jeff’s knowledge in communication disorders has helped a wide range of patients, including both adults and children with hearing loss. Here at HearingLife (formerly Avada) he provides screenings, aural rehabilitation and has an expansive knowledge of both conventional and digital hearing instruments. Expertly trained in the new wireless hearing instrument connectivity technology, he has a distinctive approach to demonstrating how today’s modern hearing devices connect directly to his patient’s cell phones, home phones or televisions.

    With over 16 years of experience, he’s dispensed and adjusted thousands of hearing devices and is an expert in early detection and treatment of speech understanding problems. He is accepting new patients and welcomes the opportunity to help those who hear conversation but have trouble understanding it.
