Joe worked as a bus driver a member of the 102-year-old group The Fairfield Four, an a cappella gospel singing group that has won three Grammys. Due to his hearing loss, Joe said that singing was more difficult, causing him to go between musical keys and cause general confusion.
With his new hearing aids, Joe will be able to hear clearly for the first time in years, letting him sing and harmonize with his group once again. Joe was excited to finally hear his own voice singing again, hitting notes that he was unable to hear before. He looks forward to touring the country again with The Fairfield Four.
