Brad Baldwin

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Brad Baldwin earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees in communication sciences and disorders from Radford University in Virginia. While working full time as an audiologist in Charlotte, North Carolina, he earned his Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida. After finishing his doctoral work, Brad started Carolina Hearing Group in 2002 because he wanted to create an exceptional patient experience for people who have hearing loss. Twenty years later, he is both proud and humbled to have helped thousands of patients on their journey to better hearing.

Brad believes passionately in the power of communication and loves making an impact on people’s lives through better hearing — a commitment he has demonstrated on hearing mission trips to the Ukraine and Argentina. His dedication to providing the highest quality hearing care has been recognized on a national level as a ten-time recipient of Audigy’s Elite Provider and Provider of Distinction awards. Additionally, he and his wife and business partner Darla were recognized in 2017 with the Anthony Positive Thinking Award and in 2018 with the inaugural Rich Burba Legacy Award. Brad and Darla have two sons, Eli and Seth. He is active in his church and enjoys boating, camping, water sports, travel, and outdoor activities.

Evan Fischer grew up in Charlotte but loved the Triangle so much, he decided to stay after earning both his Bachelor of Science and his Doctor of Audiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After practicing in a physician office for five years, he joined our practice in 2024 because he wanted to be able to build deeper relationships with patients. In his spare time, Evan can be found exploring local restaurants with his wife Jillian, playing fetch with his goldendoodle Zoey, and cheering on the Hurricanes, Tar Heels, Panthers, and Durham Bulls. If he looks familiar, it might be because he’s also been an extra in a few TV shows!

Evan says, “I come from a family of hearing professionals – both my mom and my sister are also audiologists. Because of this, I’m appreciative of how hearing brings families together. I love connecting with our patients and helping keep them close to their loved ones through better hearing.”

Always a great experience here! Dr. Baldwin replaced the tubing on one aid, and added a temporary fix on my current aid while part of it was sent for repair.

Dr. Baldwin has always been attentive, responsive, courteous, and polite. He's helped me navigate through purchasing new devices and getting repairs for existing ones. He's good!

The office staff has always been helpful, and they're very good about communication and reminders.

We love Dr. Baldwin and the front desk reception. Besides their compassionate expertise In communicating, we wish we were neighbors with them! Warmly greeted in reception and no waiting .
