Dr. Aleksandra Tiy is the Onsite Senior Care Audiologist Team Lead for Massachusetts. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences & Disorders, with a minor in Psychology, alongside her Bachelor of Arts in Religion, with a minor in Philosophy, from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA, followed by a Doctor of Audiology from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.

Dr. Tiy began her career in medical audiology in hospital settings, enjoying the fast pace and collaboration with medical staff. Dr. Tiy completed residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois and worked as a lead audiologist at UHS Medical Center in New York managing a wide scope across all lifespans. She most recently worked as a clinical audiologist focusing on vestibular testing and hearing aids at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC).

Approaching patient care with a wholistic framework, Dr. Tiy highlights the importance of hearing health in wellbeing, communication, socialization, and quality of life. She is compassionate about bedside manner, older adult and geriatric care, family and community involvement, and patient autonomy.

Outside of her time as an audiologist, Dr. Tiy enjoys spending time with her family – pets included – exploring new coffee shops, learning new languages, and reading books of all genres.

Mara is fantastic after the hearing test she will sit with you and explain what is happening and next steps if needed. She puts you at ease with her friendly outgoing personality and she never rushes you. She listens to what you have to say. I would recommend Hearing Life to whoever is having any issues with their hearing.
