Kathleen Spilar was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Currently a resident of Euclid, she has been a practicing audiologist for more than 35 years. She received both her Bachelor of Arts and Master’s Degree in Audiology from Cleveland State University. She has an extensive background in diagnostic audiology along with helping people hear better with state-of-the-art amplification. She chose the profession of audiology because close family members struggled with hearing issues most of their adult life.Kathleen is a grandmother of two, and besides spending time with her family, she enjoys reading, gardening and relaxing with her dogs.

Lauren was born and raised in Mentor, Ohio and has a degree in applied business and a strong background in retail management. She was diagnosed with hearing loss as a child and has been wearing hearing aids since the age of two. Lauren’s experience with hearing loss inspired her to pursue a more meaningful career – helping others hear better.

Lauren began her career in hearing healthcare as a Patient Care Coordinator at HearingLife, where she developed a passion for supporting people and ensuring they receive the best hearing care. During her training, she supported providers as an Audiology Aide for telehealth, gaining valuable knowledge in care and remote support. In 2025, she was licensed as a hearing aid specialist, combining her professional skills with her personal experience living with hearing loss.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as her two dogs, Willow and Winston. She loves being outdoors – whether it’s a walk in the park, boating on the lake, or relaxing on the beach in Florida.

Kathy was the best. My husband uses crossover hearing aids. In her use of the description I was able to finally understand how these work. Plus the hearing test was given with her knowledge of all the nuances that affect my husband’s hearing. The knowledge she has with many brands of hearing aids is top notch. When I am ready for hearing aids I will go to Kathy, even though it would take me 1/2 an hour.

I received an offer in the mail for a free hearing test. I was able to get scheduled at the Willoughby location within a few days of calling. Kathleen was very nice and personable. She explained everything during the testing and then went over my results in detail. It was a great experience!
