    Catherine Rivera joined Avada Hearing Care Center (now HearingLife) in 2016. She received her Oto Tech Certification through the Academy of Otolaryngology in 2015 and is a Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist in the State of North Carolina. Catherine was raised in New York City. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University and currently resides in Hickory, N.C. with her husband, 10 year old son and her dog Chewy.

    Catherine became interested in the hearing care field when she worked at the Ear, Nose, Throat practice where she tested patient’s hearing for the physicians. She fell in love with the Audiology field. Her husband’s family also has an extensive family history of hearing loss. She enjoys treating their loss, educating them and helping her family cope with the struggles of having a hearing impairment.

    She has worked with E.N.T. practices for 9 years. Starting with Audiology Practice with Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City where she worked for 12 Ear, Nose and Throat physicians. Her husband joined the Marine Corp and they were stationed in North Carolina Her past work includes working for Graystone E.N.T. and Carolina Ear, Nose, Throat Head and Neck Surgery in Hickory, NC. Catherine is a bilingual speaker and loves to interact with the Spanish community. She is a professional who cares about each one of her patients.

    Catherine is relatively new to this area and would love the opportunity to get to know the community and help locals in their journey to better hearing.
