"Thank You For Being A Friend" is a fantastic song and perfect for celebrating the HearingLife community. We have a great arrangement that will be easy for you to learn and lots of fun for you to sing. Getting involved is really easy. You just follow 6 simple steps:
1. WATCH THE INTRODUCTION VIDEO
We have prepared a quick overview which takes you step by step through the project, indicating exactly what's involved and what's available to help you.
2. DECIDE HOW YOU'RE GOING TO LEARN THE SONG
We have lots of resources available to help you learn the song, including:
- Sheet music
- Lyric sheet
- MP3 audio tracks for each voice part
- Video tutorials for each voice part
3. DECIDE WHICH PART YOU'RE GOING TO SING
The song is arranged for a soloist and a three-part choir — soprano, alto and baritone. The soprano part is for the highest female voice, alto for mid-range female voice and baritone for low female voices and all male voices. If you're still not sure which part to sing, have a listen to all of the tracks and choose the one that makes you feel most like a rock star when you sing it.
4. RECORD YOURSELF SINGING IT
Once you've spent some time learning the song and you're feeling comfortable, it's time to record it. Although the technology may seem daunting at first, we've prepared a step-by-step guide, and are available to help throughout the process.
5. SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO
When you're ready to submit your video, return to this page and use the form at the bottom. Please note that when you've successfully submitted your recording, you will receive a confirmation email almost immediately. If you do not receive the email, we do not have your video and you will need to try again or contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Submissions are open now. We encourage you to submit your video ASAP, but you can keep an eye on our Facebook page for closing deadlines.
6. PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK FOR A JOB WELL DONE
Once your video is in, it's time to let us do all the work in producing the final video. The final video will be published 10–14 days after submissions close. We'll be sure to send you a link when you're ready.
