Kimberly Michalak’s journey and passion for helping people with hearing loss began in 2011. Before she moved to the area, Kimberly grew up in Towanda, PA before graduating from Lock Haven University in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in Spanish. She has lived in Johnson City, NY for the past 20 years with her husband and four sons. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
Her commitment to helping local people began when she volunteered in the classroom when her children were growing up. In 2006, she was elected to the Johnson City School Board, where she served a five-year term. Kimberly has been a licensed and dedicated Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) by the state of New York for the past nine years. She is currently certified to perform hearing evaluations, dispense hearing aids, and service all brands of hearing aids.
Kimberly derives great satisfaction and happiness when she can demonstrate to clients how hearing better can dramatically change their lives as well as their loved ones. She believes that hearing loss not only affects the person with the impairment, but everyone around them as well. Kimberly takes great pride in educating clients on hearing loss, showing them how they can hear better, and improving their quality of life, all while delivering the best in client service.
